Live2u is built around your location and your taste — so we take what we collect, and why, seriously. Here's the plain-language version.

The short version
- We collect only what we need to show you live, relevant drops near you.
- Your precise location is used to find nearby promos — it is never sold.
- We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
- You can browse without an account, and you can delete your account anytime.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name. We never store your password in plain text — authentication is handled by our identity provider.
Location. With your permission, we use your device location (or a city you choose) and your selected search radius to surface promotions near you. You can use a manually selected city instead of precise location, and you can revoke location access in your device settings at any time.
Your preferences. The interests and vibes you pick, the businesses you follow, and the promotions you save are stored so we can personalize your feed and sync your favorites across devices.
Usage & device data. We collect basic, aggregated information about how the app is used (such as app version, device type and crash diagnostics) to keep Live2u fast and stable.
How we use your information
- To show you live promotions that are actually within reach.
- To personalize your feed based on the vibes and spots you choose.
- To send notifications about new drops from businesses you follow (if you opt in).
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
Notifications
If you opt in, we send push notifications when a business you follow posts a new promotion or when something relevant goes live near you. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run Live2u — for example, our cloud hosting and database provider, authentication provider, and push-notification delivery — and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit your interests, change your city, update your password, or delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, follows and saved promotions from our active systems.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at hello@live2u.app.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data.
Children
Live2u is intended for users who are of legal age to enter the venues featured in the app. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
